Areas of Research
Services & Consulting
My research covers different but interconnected fields, each representing a point of access to the same question: how bodies, images, and symbolic systems challenge power.
The Politics of Images: Dominant narratives are not simply experienced in bodies and communities, but are also constructed and disseminated through images. How does visual culture reinforce or undermine the hierarchical structures that shape gender, sexuality, and the body?
The Monster: Horror cinema, post-humanist theories, the abject body, and the representation of the monstrosity introduce a critical archive of what culture refuses to accept or recognize.
Witchcraft and Queer Epistemologies: For centuries, women, queer people, and communities at the margins have used magic to imagine their existence outside the terms imposed by heteronormative culture. I am interested in what they knew, and in what that knowledge still makes possible.
Tarot, Astrology, and Mysticism: I approach esotericism as contemporary practice of exploration and dissent. Archetypes and the zodiac offer a symbolic language for understanding our sense of power, desire, and transformation, and how to deconstruct internal patterns and narratives.
Death and Grief as collective events: The end of life and grief are undoubtedly personal experiences, but they are also shared political issues. The way a society deals with death reveals not only how it values life, but above all which lives it considers as most legitimate. How can we collectively face the most difficult transition for us to understand — the passage from life to death?
My work takes many forms. Below you will find three distinct areas, separate in their contexts, but rooted in the same methodology.
Research & Curating: Transfeminist and queer art, theory and practices in creative and cultural fields.
Exhibition curating — Academic research and writing — Interdisciplinary projects and collaborations — Academic consulting and educational projects — Mentoring — Editorial consulting — Writing and editing
Tarot & Astrology: Readings and consultations as tools for self-knowledge, creative inquiry, and care. Sessions are available in Italian and English, in person in Milan or online.
Natal chart — Transits — Synastry — Full tarot reading — Focused tarot reading — Threshold reading — Oracle reading — Creative writing with tarot
End-of-life doula practices: A non-medical role, working alongside healthcare professionals, providing emotional, practical, and spiritual support to people of any age or stage of illness who need additional assistance. The aim is to help people reach to the end of their lives peacefully and with dignity. This work is always tailored to the individual's needs and wishes (currently in training, available for selected accompaniments).
Emotional support for people facing the end of life and their loved ones — Presence and deep listening — Advocacy (ensuring the person's voice and wishes are heard) — After death support (guidance and comfort for families in the immediate aftermath, including support in caring for the body, assistance with administrative paperwork, and help organizing ceremonial rituals and the funeral)
